ProperOptics.com: Virtual Try-On

Updated: Apr 12, 2021

ProperOptics.com is unique in the optical industry: instead of competing with you, it puts the power of e-commerce in your hands. And now, with the addition of virtual try-on, it’s even more effective.

First, a reminder of how ProperOptics.com works. The key point is that when one of your patients buys eyewear from the site, you keep the patient and you keep the profits. This gives you an additional opportunity for to sell to patients who leave your office without buying eyewear. But that’s not all: if non-patients from your market area buy on ProperOptics.com, you collect the profits from that sale as well.

Virtual try-on makes ProperOptics.com fully competitive with any online optical. Consumers can select one of the top-selling Proper Optics® frames, and via a live interface or by uploading a photo, see how they’ll look in their new eyewear. It’s quick and easy, and it gives shoppers confidence that they’ll look great in their new eyewear. It’s also a great way to let your customers see Proper Optics frames that you don’t have on your board.

As we’ve said before, everyone in our digital-driven world needs protection against blue light. That’s why we’re now offering epik™ BLUE, our industry leading in-mass blue light filter, on ProperOptics.com. epik™ Blue is a blue light-absorptive lens material (not a coating), that reduces blue light by 60% in the hazard range of 380-450nm, and 90% from 380-420nm. Unlike other in-mass blue light products, epik™ BLUE is virtually indistinguishable from a standard clear lens.

ProperOptics.com offers traditional single vision lenses in plastic, polycarbonate, Trivex®, 1.60 and 1.67. In addition to epik™ BLUE, available lens treatments include Infinity® Clear Non-Glare, polarization, and Transitions®. Pricing on the site is the same as our recommended in-office Proper Optics pricing.
